Effective date:
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using C², you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are under the age of consent in your region, a parent/guardian or school agreement is required.
2. License & user content
- We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the service.
- You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant C² a license to process it for features you invoke (e.g., quiz generation) and to maintain service operations.
3. Acceptable use
- No cheating, scraping, reverse engineering, or misuse of APIs.
- No content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful to minors.
- Competitive play is governed by Ember Anti-Cheat. Circumvention may result in match invalidation, suspensions, or bans.
4. Fair Play & Competitive Integrity
To preserve a fair and competitive environment, Clash & Collaborate (C²) employs Ember Anti-Cheat and related monitoring systems. By participating in any competitive mode, you agree to the following:
- No Cheating: Use of cheats, bots, exploits, macros, or any unauthorized methods of gaining an advantage is strictly prohibited.
- Enforcement: If our anti-cheat systems or integrity team determine that cheating or manipulation has occurred, we reserve the right to take enforcement action, including permanent bans.
- No Refunds: Accounts permanently banned for competitive integrity violations are not eligible for refunds, credits, or compensation, regardless of subscription status.
- Integrity Actions: We may adjust or void match results, rankings, or statistics if cheating is suspected or confirmed.
- Appeals: Users may submit a good-faith appeal, but final decisions rest with C².
By queuing for competitive play, you acknowledge that competitive integrity is a core principle of C² and accept the consequences of violations.
5. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans auto-renew until canceled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Access may change if payment fails or plans are downgraded.
6. AI features
AI outputs may be incorrect or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing results before use, and you must have rights to any content you upload.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
C² is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit liability for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing limits liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for policy or legal violations. You may stop using the service at any time.
9. Dispute resolution
Unless prohibited by law, disputes are resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, with no class actions. You may opt out within 30 days of first agreeing by emailing legal@c2.app with subject “Arbitration Opt-Out.”
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
11. Miscellaneous
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and C².
- If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- You may not assign your rights or obligations without our consent.
